Chapter 80
Bianca had been freaking out that Pearl might get caught and rat her out, making her so anxious she hadn't slept well for days.
When Bianca finally dozed off, she had another nightmare.
In the nightmare, Pearl, covered in blood, was crawling towards Bianca. Her body was twisted like a zombie thrown into a blender, her eyes wide open and mouth agape.
"Bianca, help me! We're in this together! Are you really gonna sit there and watch me get tortured by them?" Pearl reached out to grab Bianca's ankle, but Bianca kicked her away.
Bianca backed away in terror, desperately trying to escape. But the short corridor seemed to stretch out endlessly, and she couldn't shake off Pearl.
"You bitch, you told me where Isabella was so I could kidnap her, but then you abandoned me! Why didn't you save me? Why?" Pearl screamed, her body twisted as she crawled towards Bianca.
"Stay away from me! You told me you could take down Isabella, I trusted you so much, but you failed! You're the liar. Stay away!" Bianca screamed, tears streaming down her face.
Just as Pearl's hand was about to grab Bianca, a huge axe from the sky ruthlessly chopped down on Pearl's neck, and Pearl's head rolled to Bianca's feet.
Blood splattered on Bianca's face, leaving her petrified. Pearl's head detached from her neck, but she was still moving her mouth.
Bianca could read Pearl's lips; she was asking Bianca why she didn't come looking for her.
Bianca looked up dazedly to see a masked man standing before her, the mask devoid of features except for a black mouth.
"I warned you, if you hurt Isabella, I'll kill you. Looks like you didn't listen." A chilling laugh escaped the man's lips, like the cry of a night owl.
He raised an axe high above Bianca, the blade still stained with Pearl's blood, gleaming ominously as it was about to come down on her head.
"No, don't come any closer! I'm John's fiancée. We're family. Uncle, don't kill me, please," Bianca screamed, trying to crawl back, but she felt a sharp pain in her ankle.
She looked down to see Pearl's severed head, bloodied and grotesque, biting into her ankle.
"Bianca, come to hell with me!" Pearl grinned with blood oozing out, towards Bianca.
The giant axe above Bianca's head came down, and she screamed, sitting up in bed.
The bodyguards outside heard Bianca's scream and rushed in, only to find everything in order and looked at Bianca in surprise.
"Ms. Taylor, are you okay?" one bodyguard asked.
Bianca shook her head. "I'm fine, just had a nightmare."
The bodyguards sighed in relief, searched the ward carefully, and left when they confirmed there was no danger.
After the bodyguards left, Bianca wiped the cold sweat from her forehead. She felt dampness on her back and realized she was drenched in sweat from the nightmare.
"When will this nightmare with Pearl ever end? This waiting game is killing me," Bianca muttered, clutching her hair, her eyes filled with deep fear.
Thanks to the nightmares, Bianca had been a wreck these past few days. After another bad dream today, she decided to give up on sleep altogether. She grabbed her phone and started scrolling through the latest news.
It had been almost a month since Pearl went missing, and there was still no word on her whereabouts.
Bianca felt like she was going to lose it if she didn't hear something about Pearl soon.
Suddenly, the ward door swung open. John walked in, looking completely wiped out.
"John, what's up? You look exhausted. Come lie down for a bit," Bianca said, tidying up her bed.
Without a second thought, John lay down next to Bianca and hugged her.
With a long sigh, he said, "They found Pearl."
Startled, Bianca asked anxiously, "Really? Where is she? How is she?"
John looked at Bianca, surprised. "Why do you care so much about Pearl?"
Feeling embarrassed, Bianca shook her head. "I'm not worried about her. I'm worried about Isabella. There are rumors online that Isabella was out for revenge on Pearl, so I wanted to know how Pearl is doing."
John didn't doubt Bianca's words and sighed, "Pearl's been found, but she's in a really bad way. I won't show you the photos; they'll give you nightmares."
"Then tell me what happened. I can't stand being in the dark. It will keep me up all night," Bianca said, shaking John's arm to urge him.
John sighed again. After a moment of silence, he said, "Pearl's eyes were gouged out. She was made deaf. Her nose and tongue were cut off. Her limbs were severed, and her body is covered in whip and burn marks. Her vagina and anus suffered severe tears. She's gone mad now; if anyone touches her, she thrashes around like a lunatic."
Bianca's face turned ghostly pale. Just from John's description, she could imagine the horrific torture Pearl had endured.
John was right; he couldn't possibly show Bianca Pearl's current photos. She would definitely have nightmares. In fact, the nightmare Bianca had earlier was nothing compared to Pearl's actual condition.
Meanwhile, Mason looked at the photos of Pearl on the table, closed his eyes, waved his hand, and Charles came over to take the photos away.
Charles said seriously, "Mr. Williams, the place where Ms. Brown was found used to be owned by the Taylor Family, but now it belongs to the Brown Family."
Mason closed his eyes and said in a deep voice, "The perpetrator wants everyone to believe the Taylor Family is responsible for such brutal torture. But the actions are so deliberate that it seems like a setup."
