Chapter 336

Bianca's face was ghostly white; she knew she'd completely blown it with John.

She felt like checking the kidney match was more like a death countdown.

Brenda walked up to Bianca and pulled out some handcuffs. "Ms. Taylor, hands out, please."

Shaking and pale, Bianca put her hands out. She needed to get out of there fast, feeling the stares of everyone around her like they were ripping her apart.

Bianca needed to bolt, even if it meant going to the police station. John was thinking the same thing. Everyone knew it, but no one was saying it out loud. They figured John would be out of the station soon enough.

Once Bianca was cuffed, Brenda told her colleagues to take her downstairs. Benjamin and the medical staff, who were also heading down, needed to go to the station for questioning as participants and witnesses.

After Bianca was gone, Brenda looked at Isabella with a wry smile. "Ms. Taylor, you really caught me off guard."

Isabella grinned. "Officer Pena, you must be thrilled about nabbing a bunch of troublemakers, right?"

Isabella's words made Brenda smile bitterly again.

"John will be fine. I bet he'll just sit there, waiting for his lawyer at the station," Brenda said, shrugging.

Isabella just smiled and kept quiet. Some things were better left unsaid; they both got it.

"So, Isabella. As a victim and witness, I need you to come with me to the station," Brenda said.

Isabella nodded. "Sure, but Officer Pena, give me a sec. I need to talk to someone."

"Okay, I'll wait for you downstairs," Brenda said, then turned and left the room.

Isabella turned to Paul, "Mr. Claire, please keep Mason in the dark about what Bianca and John did to me. His health isn't great, and I don't want to upset him."

Paul nodded. "Don't worry, Isabella, I won't tell Mr. Williams."

Even without Isabella's reminder, Paul wouldn't spill the beans.

Last time John landed Mason in the hospital just for mouthing off to him. Paul would tell Charles at most, at least Charles looked tougher than Mason.

Paul left the room, and Isabella then looked at the company execs.

Those who met Isabella's gaze felt their hearts skip a beat, while the innocent stayed calm.

"I'll give you one last chance. If you embezzled funds, return the money and resign, and I'll pretend this never happened. If not, I'll send you to the cops," Isabella said before leaving the room.

Carol shot a mocking glance at the grumpy executives before standing up and leaving the room.

While Isabella and the others were on their way to the police station, Paul filled Charles in on what had gone down, including how Bianca and John almost hurt Isabella.

Charles was stunned by the news.

Paul sighed into his phone. "I had to tell you first because I was worried Mr. Williams might end up in the hospital again. But there were a lot of people there, and I can't promise this won't leak to the media."

Charles agreed. "You're right, Mr. Mason Williams must not find out about this. I'll get in touch with Mr. Michael Williams now to help manage the media and the police, warning them to keep this under wraps."

With that, Charles hung up. He had to handle this quickly because once the three major families got wind of it, they'd spread it everywhere.

Meanwhile, on the way to the police station, Isabella called Michael.

"Sweetheart, we did it," Isabella said, her voice full of joy.

"Congrats, honey, you finally did it," Michael's tone was as gentle as ever.

Isabella recounted the day's events to Michael, from entering the meeting room to Bianca being taken away by the cops. She even cried at the end.

"Sweetheart, do you know how long I've been waiting for this day?" Isabella sobbed.

Michael comforted her softly over the phone, "I knew you'd win today. You took down John and Bianca, and now Bianca will face the law. Okay, stop crying now. When you get back tonight, let's celebrate with a big dinner. You're heading to the police station next; you can't let them see a crying CEO."

"Okay, dear, make sure you clean yourself up when I get back," Isabella joked before quickly hanging up.

Michael's breathing quickened. If he was right, tonight would be the most passionate night between him and Isabella.

"Darn it, I only planned to hold out for two weeks, and now it's been almost a month. I've almost finished all those pills. I can finally enjoy myself without holding back," Michael grinned.

But his smile quickly faded. Rationally, he knew it wasn't time to celebrate and let loose just yet. He had other things to handle.

Michael always remembered there was another force behind Bianca. Now that she was arrested, that force would surely make a move. This time, he had to expose those lurking in the shadows.

Just as Michael was plotting his next steps, his phone rang. He glanced at the screen and was surprised to see Charles calling.
