Chapter 483

Michael scribbled his name on the receipt, wincing as the truck driver told the crew to start unloading.

It took almost an hour to get all the drinks off the truck.

"Alright, your stuff's here, we're outta here," the truck driver shouted to Michael before driving off.

Michael looked around the villa, now packed with drinks, his mouth twitching.

Isabella gave Michael a sideways glance.

"Honey, when you said a few boxes of drinks, did you mean a few shipping containers? How long are you planning to swim in all these? Or are you thinking of drowning in them?" Isabella sighed, feeling helpless.

Michael rubbed his face hard, silently cursing Mike for this mess.

"Sweetheart, I think there might've been a mix-up. Maybe I accidentally added an extra zero when I ordered. It's probably a misunderstanding. Hang tight, let me see if I can return them," Michael said, chuckling as he dialed a number.

Isabella sighed, grabbed a bottle from one of the boxes, twisted the cap open, and took a sip. The drink tasted fine, but Isabella rarely indulged in such beverages. She was just annoyed with Michael.

Meanwhile, Michael called Mike.

After a couple of rings, Mike answered, chuckling.

"So, Mr. Williams, enjoying the drinks?" Mike asked, grinning.

Michael growled into the phone, "I swear, I feel like cracking your head open to see if it's filled with soda! I asked for a few boxes, meaning not more than 10! But you sent me a truckload! What am I supposed to do with all these drinks? Take a bath in them?"

Michael was fuming. He didn't even like drinks, so why send him so many? And even if it was a lottery, how long would it take to find that $100 million bottle? With this many drinks, he'd probably have to draw for a day and a night.

Mike's embarrassed laughter crackled through the phone. "I'm really sorry, Mr. Williams. There was a mix-up, so we had to deliver all the drinks from the same batch to you. Take your time with the lottery."

Michael sighed, missing Jerry at that moment. Mike could handle mischief, pranks, espionage, even kidnapping for ransom, but he couldn't manage simple tasks.

Jerry, on vacation at the beach, watching bikini-clad beauties play volleyball in the distance, suddenly sneezed.

"How odd, why do I feel like someone's thinking about me? Have I won over those ladies with my charm?" Jerry chuckled, smoothed his hair as he strolled out from under the umbrella.

"Hey, miss, need help with sunscreen?" Jerry offered a sunbathing beauty.

The woman responded coldly, "No, go away."

Jerry shrugged, "Alright."

Back at the villa, after giving Mike a piece of his mind, Michael reluctantly ended the call.

"Jerry won't be back for at least another 10 days. Darn it, I hope Mike doesn't stir up more trouble," Michael sighed, tapping his forehead.

'With all these drinks, how long will it take to scan these codes?' Michael grumbled, cursing Mike silently as he made his way toward the villa.

Just as Michael neared the villa's entrance, he heard Isabella scream.

Alarmed, Michael hurried to the front gate, thinking Isabella was in trouble.

"What's the matter? Honey, what's going on?" Michael called out anxiously at the gate.

Upon reaching Isabella, he found her holding a phone and a bottle of drink, looking stunned, with no one else in sight. Clearly, there was no danger.

Michael's lips twitched as he approached.

"Honey, could you please not scream out of the blue? You nearly scared me to death. I thought something bad had happened to you," Michael chided.

Isabella, still fixated on the phone and drink, kept muttering to herself.

Frowning, Michael leaned in close, almost putting his ear to her mouth to catch her words.

"I won! I won! My luck has changed!" Isabella repeated excitedly.

Michael shook his head, grinning. "Sweetheart, what did you win? You look so thrilled. Let me guess, did you win a phone or a camera?"

Isabella turned to Michael, gazing blankly, and said, "No, darling, it's bigger than that. I think I won $100 million."

Michael blinked, the smile fading from his face. He grabbed Isabella's phone and saw the message confirming the $100 million win.

"You really won? How many bottles did you scan?" Michael asked urgently.

Isabella pointed to the box she had opened. "I was a bit thirsty, so I randomly picked a bottle from the box. After a few sips, I remembered the lottery and scanned the QR code. I never expected to win right away."

Upon hearing Isabella's winning story, Michael's lips twisted in disbelief.

'How could it be this easy to win? I know one of these drinks must have a winning ticket, but why did Isabella choose the first one and win? Did that fool Mike label all these drinks with prizes?' Michael pondered, glancing around.

Suddenly, Michael shuddered. If each of these drinks could win $100 million, even his entire fortune wouldn't be enough to cover the cost.

Quickly, Michael grabbed another bottle from the box and scanned it with his phone.
