Chapter 304

Isabella was now the CEO of the family business, and Michael, being her husband, was all about clearing the path for her.

Michael took a deep dive into the Taylor Family's three companies and spotted a bunch of issues. He figured Isabella would catch on too, so he didn't plan on spelling it out for her. Instead, he had other moves in mind.

Michael was all about nipping problems in the bud. Even though Carol had helped Isabella before and seemed to be on their side, he wasn't going to ease up and he would dig into her cautiously.

"Send me all the other files you found. I want to take a closer look," Michael said over the phone.

The person on the other end agreed, and soon enough, Michael got an email.

He opened it up and found info about the charitable fund Isabella's family had back in their heyday. Her grandpa, Patrick, had been a big-time philanthropist.

"If Carol supported Isabella because she wanted to pay back her grandfather, could there be others with the same motive?" Michael wondered, rubbing his chin as he started digging.

Michael never forgot the ring Patrick left behind, a symbol of identity and family. Anyone who recognized it would help Isabella without question.

But Michael couldn't wrap his head around why Patrick chose this way to protect the family. Plus, the people sent to restore the family didn't know each other, making it look like some kind of secret operation.

Michael's computer screen was split into two: one side showing the current senior execs of the three companies, and the other showing the charitable fund files.

After a while, Michael frowned.

He found a lot of overlap between the two files. Most of the people who were once sponsored were now working in these three companies.

"I knew it wouldn't be that easy. Is it a coincidence or Patrick's plan?"Michael narrowed his eyes.

Some senior execs were leaning towards John. If they were truly loyal, they wouldn't act that way. Clearly, Carol was just an exception; not everyone who had accepted Patrick's charity could ba trusted.

"If their goal is to restore the family's glory, Isabella just needs to show she can lead these companies out of trouble and expand. They should come forward voluntarily," Michael murmured, deciding his next steps.

Meanwhile, the driver Leo took Isabella straight to the Taylor Family's company building. A bunch of reporters had gathered downstairs for a press conference.

Soon, Isabella showed up, and the reporters swarmed her, shoving microphones in her face.

"Isabella, have you officially taken over your father's company now?"

"Isabella, we heard that you and your sister Bianca have been fighting for shares in the company. How did you win?"

"Yes, Isabella, we heard that many senior executives in your company were more inclined towards John, but this time you won. Will there be any conflicts with them?"

"Isabella, is your first act as the company's CEO to overturn all of your father's business practices?"

Facing the barrage of questions, Isabella stood at the company's entrance and addressed the reporters seriously. "I'll answer each of your questions.

"First off, regarding my current shares, yes, I am now the CEO. While I haven't secured all the shares from my father, that's not the main issue anymore.

"Secondly, about how I won over my sister and got those shares? That's tied up in some business secrets, so it's not something I can discuss with the media.

"As for the senior executives leaning towards John, I get it. Everyone saw the company's struggles before. But I'm confident I can lead us to success without John's help.

"And about overturning my father's business practices, I'll keep the good parts and change what needs fixing."

Isabella answered the reporters' questions with a calm demeanor.

Upstairs, Carol watched through the window, smiling.

"Very good, looks like I made the right choice. I hope you like my next gift, Isabella," Carol smiled, heading back to her office.

Meanwhile, Isabella stayed outside for almost an hour, fielding all the reporters' questions.

Just as she was about to wrap things up, a reporter wearing a mask rushed over.

"Isabella, I have one last question for you." The reporter approached with a microphone.

Isabella extended her hand politely. "Sure, go ahead."

The reporter asked, "Under your father's control, there were reports of bribery, sex trade, and suppressing competent colleagues. Will you deal with these people strictly?"

Isabella looked at the reporter with a determined glint in her eyes and nodded seriously.

"I will dig into the root of it. If these things did happen, I will use legal means to address them," Isabella said firmly to all the reporters.

This moment was captured and posted online, and soon news about Isabella becoming the new CEO went viral. Despite their waning influence, the Browns Family still drew a lot of attention.

Reporters wrote numerous articles based on Isabella's press conference and posted them online. With her popularity, the news spread quickly throughout the city.

Bianca saw Isabella on the news and angrily threw her phone.

"Damn it, this position was supposed to be mine! Isabella, you damn bitch!" Bianca yelled furiously in her bedroom.

Just then, a call came in. Bianca picked up the phone from the floor, surprise flashing in her eyes.
