Chapter 319

Brenda didn't hang around Isabella's office for long. She just popped in for a routine check and didn't expect to get much out of it.

After work, Isabella headed home with her new driver and bodyguards in tow.

Michael had already wrapped up his day and was cooking when Isabella walked in. She wasted no time telling him about Brenda's visit.

Isabella grabbed a tomato from the fruit bowl, popped it into her mouth, and leaned against the kitchen counter, thinking out loud, "The only person I can think of is Bianca. But there's no way John framed Mason, so it must be those shady people behind Bianca."

Michael calmly set a freshly cooked dish on the dining table. "Let's eat first. No point in stressing over it now."

Isabella plopped down at the table, clearly frustrated. "I'm so sick of these people lurking in the shadows! Sometimes I just want to hire a hitman to take out Bianca so she stops messing with me."

Michael watched as Isabella angrily hacked at her steak. He chuckled and shared some good news.

"Bianca's not gonna be happy for long. Private investigators dug up some dirt on her from the local police in Lumaria. Turns out, Bianca never went to any hospital; she was just on vacation. She stayed there for over a week and then came straight back, which is super fishy. No way medical science allows for such a quick recovery," Michael said, a bit sarcastically.

Isabella put down her utensils, looking pleasantly surprised. "Really? That's awesome. Once we find the company's funds, I can go after Bianca fast! Next, we just need Benjamin to check out those doctors. I can't wait to throw the evidence in John's face and see if he can still play dumb."

Michael smiled, then suddenly thought of something.

Looking at Isabella curiously, Michael asked, "I gotta know, why is John so into Bianca? What kind of love makes him go against his grandfather? Did Bianca do something that made John willing to risk everything for her?"

Isabella shook her head. "I want to know that too. Why would John rather be a fool than face the truth?"

Michael pursed his lips, lowered his head, and started eating. He made a mental note to have someone look into it.

Meanwhile, after a series of investigations, the three major families finally tracked down Jasper.

"Our people infiltrated the airline company. After combing through the surveillance videos, we finally found Jasper. He boarded a flight to Novaria," Jonah said, handing the report to Paxton.

Paxton looked at the printed photo of Jasper on the report, a slight smile forming on his face.

"Finally, we found Jasper. He really made us work for it," Paxton said, tossing the document onto the table.

"Share this news with the other two families. We'll send people to track Jasper together," Paxton instructed Jonah.

Jonah hesitated for a moment and suggested, "Mr. Brown, since we already know where Jasper is, why not handle it ourselves? That way, whatever Jasper finds will be ours alone."

Paxton shot Jonah a cold look. "Are you questioning my decisions?"

Jonah quickly lowered his head. "No, sir. I'm sure you have your reasons."

Paxton snorted. "Do you think we're the only ones who can find this clue? The other two families are just as capable. Sharing it shows we're serious about cooperation. Plus, we have no influence in that country; we need their help."

Jonah nodded. "Understood, Mr. Brown. I'll deliver the documents now."

As Jonah was about to leave, Paxton stopped him.

"Also, share the information we found with the Williams Family's informants," Paxton said, a sly smile on his lips.

Jonah was momentarily surprised but quickly caught on.

Paxton's plan was devious; he wanted to stir up trouble between the Williams Family and the other two families to weaken them.

A small, ambitious family would have to find ways to weaken their rivals before they grew big. That way, everyone could stay on the same level.

Jonah smiled and immediately went to make arrangements.

Soon, all these families received the news and sent people to Novaria.

Novaria was a country with a coalition system, where the wealth gap between member countries was unbalanced. It was a paradise for criminals and a playground for the rich.

With money, you could enjoy an excellent life here. There was no need to worry about threats from criminals because the protected areas here had very strong firepower to suppress them. Therefore, it attracted a large number of evil capitalists and corrupt officials.

On the outskirts of the wealthy area was a street. Although it was not under the jurisdiction of the wealthy, it was relatively safe and orderly due to its proximity. Here, people didn't need to worry about being robbed or being assaulted for no reason.

Jasper walked out of a luxurious store, his expression sour.

"Darn it, why did the gold price drop again?" Jasper muttered to himself as he discreetly touched the stack of bills in his pocket, feeling a bit frustrated.

If Jasper opened his mouth wide, you'd see that he had lost a few more teeth.

Anyone who dared to open a jewelry store here had a powerful background. This was also a prime spot for money laundering and selling stolen goods.

Not long after Jasper left the gold shop, another young man walked out.

This young man was Tim, who had been tracking Jasper. Instead of following him, he went in the opposite direction.

Tim wasn't worried about losing track of Jasper; Jasper still didn't know that there was a tracker inside him.

"How many gold teeth does Jasper have? How obsessed is he with gold?" Tim muttered.
