Chapter 205
Isabella, though tough, wasn't as strong as a guy. In a rush, John grabbed a chair to block Isabella's swing, then quickly snatched the bat from her.
"You crazy woman, you've really pissed me off," John growled, yanking the bat from Isabella's hands and swinging it at her.
Isabella didn't flinch. She grabbed a bottle from the table and chucked it at John.
Just then, a big guy rushed out from behind Isabella and grabbed John's bat.
But Isabella's bottle smashed right onto John's head, shattering and making blood trickle down his forehead.
Bianca screamed and rushed to hold John.
"John, are you okay? Someone call an ambulance, quick!" Bianca cried, but John just patted her head.
"I'm fine. It's just a small cut. Who are you?" John asked coldly, looking at the guy in front of him.
Isabella was shocked to see Leo suddenly appear. "Leo, what are you doing here?"
Leo smiled at John. "Mr. Williams, let me introduce myself. I'm the driver arranged by Ms. Taylor's company."
John's eyes flickered. Leo's words were a reminder that he was there under Michael's orders to protect Isabella.
"Who are you? Are you with Isabella? I'm calling the cops. Isabella will pay for this," Bianca screamed, pulling out her phone to call the police.
John suddenly grabbed Bianca's phone. "Forget it."
Bianca stared at him in disbelief. "Why? You're hurt!"
John sighed. "Serves me right. I ticked Grandpa off so bad he ended up in the hospital."
After speaking, John looked at Isabella. "Are you satisfied now? You've taught me a lesson."
"It's far from enough. What I really want is to break your legs, not just give you a small cut!" Isabella said fiercely.
"Isabella, you're going too far. John's dropped it, so get over it!" Bianca stood in front of John, glaring at Isabella like an angry mother leopard.
Isabella shrugged, barely looking at Bianca. "Oh yeah, you. What are you still doing here? Jasper and Mia are in jail - you should be too!"
Bianca went white. She'd been busted before for trashing Isabella's place and stealing her stuff. Jail was the last place she wanted to be again.
"Enough, Isabella. I'm not going after you for what happened, so back off Bianca," John said, pulling Bianca behind him. He believed that a mature man shouldn't let his woman stand in front to take the hit.
Isabella sneered and shook her head. "Why does it seem like I'm the villain here?"
She looked at John and Bianca with a mocking smile. "This is your final warning. Mason is like a grandfather to me. I won't let anyone hurt him. Especially you, John. Yeah, he's your grandpa - he'll ground you, maybe even belt you, but he won't kill you. I'm not so forgiving. Don't test me."
With a murderous glare at John, Isabella turned and left the yacht.
Leo followed closely behind her, his burly frame shielding her from any sudden attacks.
John's face was pale. Isabella's words had indeed shaken him.
'Shit, I'm seriously freaked out by that woman,' John cursed himself inwardly.
Bianca clung to John's waist, resting her head on his chest, crying, "Isabella's terrifying! John, maybe we should split up. You should go apologize to your grandpa."
"No, not happening. Nobody's breaking us up. Besides, he's probably still mad at me. It'll only make things worse if I show my face," John shook his head helplessly.
John was right. Just mentioning the fight with Mason - that's all it took - and it sent Mason into a coughing fit because of bad memories.
If John went to the hospital now, he was more likely to receive news of Mason fainting rather than his forgiveness. If Mason fainted in the hospital, the entire city's media would converge there. It wouldn't be long before Owen heard the news and returned from abroad.
John had grown up with Mason, and his father Owen hadn't been around much to raise him. Mason's a frail old man now, but Owen was strong as an ox! John shuddered thinking about Owen coming back and beating him up.
'If my father shows up and Isabella is there, that bitch would definitely hand him a baseball bat,' John thought, shivering.
John took a deep breath, trying to dispel the images from his mind. As Mason had said, even if Owen returned, nothing would change. Besides giving him a beating, it wouldn't change anything.
"Forget it. Come on, Bianca, let's go back to the room and rest," John said, pulling Bianca off the yacht.
After Bianca and John left, Michael, who was on his way, received a call from Leo.
Jerry, behind the wheel, heard Leo's report and smirked. "Wow, Mrs. Williams is a real tiger!"
Michael smiled. "That's my wife! Her style is becoming more and more like mine. I love it."
